• Understanding Accounting Procedures for Conveyancing Transactions.

Having successfully completed this course, learners may progress on to UCEN Manchester’s SQA/CLC Level 6 Diploma (a prerequisite for students wishing to be eligable to become a Licensed Conveyancer).

Location

Attendance
Part Time
Duration
1 year
Start
September 2019
Our teaching staff have both academic and professional legal qualifications, along with industry experience as practitioners in the legal sector.
Whilst experience of working in the legal sector is not essential, many applicants are already employed in this field.
Supplementary to the SQA/CLC subject manuals on which the syllabuses for each module are based, additional reading materials can be found on the relevant part of SQA’s website (www.sqa.org.uk).
All modules, with the exception of Understanding Accounting Procedures for Conveyancing Transactions module, are assessed through the completion of three assessments at the end of the module.

At the end of the Understanding Accounting Procedures for Conveyancing Transactions module students will be required to complete a written examination.
As this is a professional qualification, the majority of students who enrol on the course will be looking to pursue a career in the legal sector.

Once a student has successfully completed this course they will be entitled to work in a legal environment under the supervision of an ‘authorised person’. The knowledge attained will also equip students with the skills and understanding to deal with their own case load, as well as assisting with the case load of other, more senior colleagues.
In addition to the fees payable to UCEN Manchester, additional fees are payable to SQA/CLC before SQA will accept entry for an examination or assessment. These fees, payable direct to SQA are:
• CLC membership fee
• Examination/assessment entry fees (payable in respect of each examination or assessment).
