UCEN Manchester was a finalist in this year’s Best Further Education College category

Our higher education institution UCEN Manchester was one of the finalists in this year’s Best Further Education College category in the national What Uni Student Choice Awards.

The Awards are based on reviews of 148 institutions from more than 36,000 students across the UK.

Michael Walsh (pictured second from left), Vice Principal and Dean of Higher Education for UCEN Manchester, said: “We’re incredibly proud to have been nominated for this award based on the reviews of our students.

“Our tutors and support staff work hard to create an outstanding and unique learning experience for our students, so our nomination for this award is a brilliant reflection of what they do.”

Reviews for the awards are conducted in person with a sample of students at each institution by an independent organisation, covering topics on everything from facilities to teaching and clubs to overall experience.

“The great thing about these awards is that the feedback from students is completely candid and honest, so it’s wonderful that the reviews our students gave left us eligible to be nominated for a fantastic award like this,” said Michael.

“UCEN Manchester is only in its fourth month, but this nomination has demonstrated that we’re making a real impact with our higher education students and I’m already looking forward to the reviews from next year’s awards showcasing our progress.”
