At UCEN Manchester we make conditional and unconditional offers. Find out more about what these mean as well as managing them.

For what to do next, please read our applicant checklist on our applicant hub.

This typically means that your offer is conditional on you achieving certain exam results. You can find the specific details of your individual offer when you log into UCAS Track.

Once you have met the conditions of your offer, your Admissions Team will confirm that it is unconditional via UCAS Track and send you further information about how to enrol as a student at UCEN Manchester. This usually happens in August.

What does my offer look like?

Your offer from us might be:

  • A ‘tariff’ offer, e.g. 128 Tariff points from GCE A Levels. (Please note that we do not count tariff points from AS level), or:
  • A ‘grade’ offer, covering A Levels at stated grades, say BBC, or say, BTEC Extended Diploma grades DMM (Distinction/Merit/Merit).

We might specify a minimum grade in a specific Level 3 subject, to ensure that you have the necessary knowledge and skills for your chosen course, e.g. 128 tariff points from GCE A Levels, to include a grade C in GCE A Level Maths.

For more information on the UCAS Tariff, go to the UCAS website.

Before accepting your offer, there are a number of important information points that we ask you to read about the offer and your course, our contract and the related policies, terms and conditions.

This means that you have already met our entry requirements, though you might still need to provide proof of your qualifications or have a DBS check (criminal records check).

The Admissions Team will write to you with further information on how to enrol as a student at UCEN Manchester in August.

We know that you may be experiencing a disruption to your studies, changes to assessments, exams or personal circumstances in light of the current situation.

We understand the potential impact of this and want to ensure you that any applicant who receives an offer from us is will not be disadvantaged as a result of school/college closures or exam cancellations.

We will update you with any developments as we have them.

UCAS is providing regular updates to applicants on this webpage.

If you’d like to speak to someone about your personal circumstances, please email our Admissions Team or Future U Student Support Team.
